CGI program is implemented in Python,
Web server need to be Python installed.。
Some web hosting company provides shared SSL for secure Web access, but most of then do not provides secure file transfer like provide only plain FTP.
ShSSL File Transfer provides secure file transfer, to embed some FTP protocols into Web protocol.
The program is not aim to totally replace FTP, but it implemented protocols often use.
